The fact that innovation in agriculture is extremely important says our next award, the more valuable that comes from the Internet users! We are glad that our support for the agro market based on early detection of threats on crops using molecular methods is noticed and appreciated by a growing number of recipients. Thanks to dedicated DNA tests in agricultural and orchard cultivation, the farmer is able to determine the risk of infection even several months in advance. It allows to reduce the use of plant protection products, which translates into improved food quality, care for the environment and the economic effect. Thank you Farmer magazine for this award!
On July 11-14, Los Angeles took place the final battle in the international startup competition Chivas the Venture, with a prize pool of $ 1 million. As the winners of the Polish finals, we were among 30 teams from around the world that combined the desire to trigger a positive change in the world through business activities. The Venture finale in Los Angeles had a multi-stage course, which resulted in the selection of five finalists: Bioestibas from Colombia, iDrop from South Africa, Intend from Israel, RecyclePoints from Nigeria and Siam Organic from Thailand. Unfortunately, we were missing from this close circle of finalists. The winner announced at the gala, which was led by Josh Gad turned out to be Peetachai Dejkraisak and his company Siam Organic, whose idea was awarded by the jurors Adam Braun, Sonal Shah, Alexandre Ricard and the Hollywood star Halle Berry. The winner received a check for $400.000, the second in the order RecyclePoints - $200.000, and the other finalists of $50.000. We congratulate the entire five and all other participants and wish them all success in the future! It was very nice for us to be among the finalists and be able to fight for the highest laurels. Especially that in the vote of Internet users, which lasted at the turn of May and June, our idea took sixth place, which allowed us to collect nearly $12.000 for the implementation of the project of a mobile DNA laboratory in agriculture. We also thank our sponsor - Grupa Azoty S.A., which financially supported the business trip of our team to the USA.
